Retarded journalism

Yesterday's Nuggets-Mavericks had a controversial ending. Antoine Wright on the Mavericks attempted to foul the Nuggets Carmelo Anthony so that the Nuggets would have to take the ball out of bounds instead of let them shoot a 3-point shot to potentially take the lead. He attempted to foul, it wasn't called, and Carmelo hit the 3 to put the Nuggets up by 1 with only about a second left. The Nuggets went on to win the game.

A lengthy explanation that isn't necessarily all-important, but the post game interview with Chauncy Billups, point guard for the Nuggets, struck me as containing quite possibly the stupidest question ever. Nancy Lieberman, according to everyone, is some kind of stellar female reporter/former player, etc. This is how she began the interview after the game:

"Chauncy, obviously a lot of emotion at the end of a big game like this. Did you, did you know that Carmelo was not going to get fouled and he was going to play through with that 3-point shot?"

There are so many stupid things about this question I can't even begin to explain how much I hate that Nancy Lieberman has a job and/or a spot in the basketball hall of fame.

The refs and the league office are also doing their best to stop me from being interested in the NBA. It's like watching a college game.

And if you ever needed proof that the NBA is fixed, just watch this year's playoffs.

It was ESP(N) that would have allowed Chauncey B to KNOW 'melo wouldn't get fouled.

And the NBA must really, really not like Mark Cuban...

The Lakers are doing there best to fight the fixin. Unless them getting destroyed is all part of it, like taking out the recycling.

My word verification is leche.
